Our services

Here’s just a few of things we’ve been helping people with.

All our support services are completely free of charge.

Claiming benefits – applying for finances that you are entitled to such as Attendance Allowance or Personal Independence Payments, and filling out the paperwork that can be a bit confusing.

Help at home – getting the care you might need at home so you can live life to the fullest.

Housing – we have helped people with repair issues, getting adaptation done and finding different accommodation if someone feels their home isn’t suitable anymore.

Bereavement – coping with the loss of a loved one and the processes involved.

Speaking on your behalf – not everyone is great at talking on the phone or getting points across at appointments. We’re happy to help and will speak for and with you to make sure your thoughts and feelings are heard.

Social visits – we’re fully aware that social groups like our daily activities aren’t what everyone prefers or can manage and that’s why RHEA staff and volunteers (called Befrienders) are happy to come and see you for a cup of tea and a catch up. These are purely social visits to get to know each other and maintain a friendship.

Online help – from renewing a bus pass to making an appointment, we’re told more and more these days that you can “only do it online”. Not everyone in later life has Internet access, and not everyone wants it. If that’s you, don’t worry, we’ll help.

Get in touch

If you have any questions, would like to know more or if you would like to refer someone to us, simply get in touch. There are no complicated referral processes and if you decide to become a member (so we can send you our newsletter three times a year) it’s completely free of charge.
